Check calculations, units, currencies, percentages, denominators, baselines, rounding, time periods, and numerical comparisons before publication.

## Usage note

Use this record for every number that materially shapes a reader's understanding or decision, plus a sample of lower-risk figures. Recalculate from the most direct approved source rather than trusting a copied total. For financial, medical, scientific, legal, or safety-critical work, involve a qualified reviewer and follow the standards required by that field.

## How to use this template

1. Copy the published wording and classify the number as count, rate, percentage, currency, measurement, duration, or comparison.
2. Locate the original inputs, definitions, units, denominator, period, and approved source version.
3. Recalculate independently and document conversion, adjustment, missing-data, and rounding choices.
4. Check every place the number appears and verify that surrounding language preserves its meaning.
5. Record reviewer approval or block publication until discrepancies and material uncertainty are resolved.
