GPT-Human is designed to empower writers, students, researchers, and content creators by giving them tools to improve readability, eliminate robotic syntactic patterns, and express their ideas with maximum clarity. We believe that artificial intelligence is a powerful collaborator, but it should never replace critical thinking or personal accountability.

2. Academic Integrity Guidelines

For students, educators, and academic researchers:

  • Originality: We encourage using GPT-Human to polish drafts, improve flow, or refine ESL (English as a Second Language) translations. You should not use the Service to submit fully AI-generated papers as your own work without substantial original intellectual contribution.
  • Institutional Policies: You are solely responsible for knowing and adhering to the specific AI policies of your school, college, or university. Academic institutions vary widely in how they govern AI-assisted writing.
  • Verification: Our built-in AI Detector is provided to help you self-assess your text, but academic detectors (such as Turnitin) update frequently. Final authorship verification remains your responsibility.

3. Professional and Commercial Use

For copywriters, bloggers, SEO specialists, and agencies:

  • Transparency: While humanizing text helps prevent search engine penalties for generic content, you must ensure that all factual claims, references, and statistics in your output are accurate and verified. AI models can introduce hallucinated information.
  • Plagiarism: Do not use the Service to rewrite copyrighted material with the intent to publish it without appropriate attribution or authorization. GPT-Human should be used to process your own drafts or properly licensed content.
  • Deception: We strictly prohibit using our tools to generate automated mass spam, disinformation, phishing templates, or misleading reviews.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate or humanize text that promotes hate speech, violence, self-harm, or illegal actions.
  • Evade law enforcement investigation or generate fraudulent legal, medical, or financial advice.
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload our API endpoints via automated scripts without an official developer plan.

5. Compliance and Termination

We reserve the right to monitor account usage metrics to prevent abuse. Accounts found to be violating this Ethical Use Policy (e.g., generating spam networks or phishing templates) will be suspended or permanently terminated without a refund.
