1. Introduction

At GPT-Human (referred to as "we", "our", or "us"), we value your privacy above all else. This Privacy Policy details our practices regarding the processing, protection, and retention of data when you access and utilize our AI Humanizer, AI Detector, and associated services (the "Service").

2. Text and Usage Processing

When you submit text to a writing or analysis tool, the application processes it to return the requested result. Do not submit confidential or regulated information unless you are authorized to send it to the configured AI provider.

  • Submitted text is handled in request memory and sent to the configured AI provider for processing.
  • GPT-Human does not write submitted text or generated output to its application database; it stores usage metadata for quota tracking. Requests are processed by the configured AI provider under that provider's terms.
  • The application is designed not to write submitted text or generated output to its database. Operational infrastructure and the AI provider remain subject to their configured logging and retention terms.
  • GPT-Human does not operate its own model-training pipeline on submitted text. We cannot make retention or training promises on behalf of the configured provider.

3. Information We Collect

To operate accounts, quotas, support, and plan requests, the application can collect:

  • Account Registration Details: Your name, email address, and encrypted password when you register.
  • Profile and Request Information: Language preferences, plan status, support messages, contact submissions, and the payment method or note you voluntarily include in a manual plan request. Do not enter card or bank credentials.
  • Usage Metrics: Tool name, word count, timestamps, quota totals, and security/rate-limit signals needed to operate the service. Submitted text and generated output are not stored in usage history.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Authenticate your account and grant access to premium features.
  • Enforce usage limits, review plan or payment requests, and prevent abuse. The current application does not process card charges.
  • Respond to contact and support requests and send authentication or service emails through the configured email provider.

5. Sharing of Personal Data

We do not sell or rent personal information. Data may be processed by services configured by the operator to run the application:

  • Application infrastructure: The configured hosting and database providers process account, session, and operational data.
  • AI processing: The configured AI provider receives submitted tool text and instructions needed to return a result.
  • Email delivery: The configured SMTP provider receives recipient and message data for verification, password reset, contact, and service emails.

6. Data Security and Encryption

The application uses secure session controls, server-side authorization checks, input validation, and rate limits. Production deployments should use HTTPS and secure database and email configurations. No security measure can eliminate every risk.

7. GDPR and CCPA Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to request the correction or complete erasure of your account.
  • The right to object to or restrict processing of your information.
