Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the GPT-Human platform, website, and services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from using the Service.

2. Description of Service

GPT-Human provides artificial intelligence writing intelligence features, including text humanization, AI content detection, grammar improvements, and generative writing assistance. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at any time without notice.

3. Fair and Ethical Use Policy

GPT-Human is designed to help users improve the readability, style, and natural flow of their text. While using our AI Humanizer or Detector:

  • You agree to comply with all academic integrity codes, employer rules, and publishing platform guidelines applicable to you.
  • You are solely responsible for the legal and ethical implications of publishing or submitting the content generated or processed by the Service.
  • We do not guarantee any AI-detector score. Detectors can produce false positives and false negatives and do not prove authorship.

4. Plans, Upgrade Requests, and Payment Arrangements

Paid plans provide higher usage limits and the plan features shown on the pricing page; no plan guarantees detector outcomes.

  • Request Workflow: The current application records an authenticated plan or payment request for manual follow-up; it does not charge a card or create a recurring subscription.
  • No Automatic Renewal: The current application does not automatically renew or collect subscription payments.
  • Changes and Cancellations: Contact support about any manually arranged plan. Dashboard controls do not currently cancel an external payment agreement.
  • Payment Terms: Obtain the price, payment method, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms in writing before completing any separately arranged payment.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

As between you and GPT-Human:

  • Your Text: You retain ownership of all original text you input into the Service. We hold no copyright over the content you humanize or detect.
  • Output Rights: You receive a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use the humanized outputs generated for your personal, commercial, or academic projects.
  • Our Intellectual Property: GPT-Human retains all rights, titles, and interests in and to our proprietary algorithms, models, user interfaces, branding, and API endpoints.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GPT-Human, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service. This includes academic penalties, lost search engine traffic, or employment terminations. The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
